This is the nearest you can get to the wild beasts, after all Jim Corbett National Park is the ultimate tiger haven. This forest of meandering rivers, blue waters and sal - multihued tract of tigers and elephants is rightly called as 'the land of trumpet, roar and song'. Due to its location on the foothills of the Himalayas Corbett wildlife reserve has tremendous prospect of flora as well as fauna. The most celebrated animals that can be sighted here are elephants, tigers, leopard, sloth bear, sambar, king vulture and Python. This was the first of its kind in the country and one of the best managed tiger reserve in the sub continent. Due to its proximity from Delhi, this park is feasibly within reach. You can pay a visit to this park at any time of the year but the best time is during the month of February to April when the skies are clear and chances of animal viewing is at its most. Early morning elephant safari and evening jeep safari are the best to view tigers. Among the rich fauna of Sal and Bamboo, you can sight tigers, leopards, monkeys and barking deer. To satisfy the desire of seeing reptiles, this park has crocodiles, russels viper, cobra and monitor lizard. You cannot miss watching the avifauna as it is the world's best birding resort. Look out for Golden eagle, Honey-Buzzard and does not miss Red Jungle Fowl.

With water and food available in abundance, Jim Corbett Wildlife Park is an ideal habitat for all the nature's wards and also makes a favorite photography destination where lot of wildlife enthusiast enthralls during the month of April, May and June.
Wild Adventure at Corbett
Sighting animals is not all the action. Get a little deeper into the forests on an elephant back to get a closer look at the wildlife. This way the animals will not be alarmed and hence won't get scared. Enjoy overnight jungle stay and take up trekking and camping to add some zest to your tour. Indulge in angling for mahseer in the Ramganga and Kosi river among the crocodiles, which will send a chill down your spine. You can also enjoy rafting in the river besides visiting the Corbett museums that falls on the Kaladhungi road. But before embarking upon your journey make sure you do not wear bright colored clothes or strong perfumes. Another important thing to be kept in mind is that you should refrain from carrying plastic bags and do not litter. So there is no point wasting time.
